How are the performances on animals?

Ranbir Kapoor once again competes with his previous outings and beats them all effortlessly. He is a roaring force in Animal.

The actor presents numerous facets of his versatile skillset and comes on top. His expressions, countenance, and fierce acuity take you on a fiery ride.

Kapoor is trying to experiment with his roles, which is a good thing, considering the stage of his acting career.

‘Animal’ is an action crime-drama featuring actors Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. ‘Animal’ released on 01st Dec 2023 worldwide in 5 languages. The film has a runtime of 201 minutes. Here, we bring you all the critic reviews and ratings of ‘Animal’.

In Animal, he plays all possible parts, from a die-hard romantic to a violently obsessive goon.

His action scenes deserve standalone praise. Ranbir is a monster on the screen as a serious action hero.

Rashmika Mandanna portrays Geetanjali and impresses with her subdued personality. She makes herself visible in a movie dominated by men.

Her biggest asset is her affable screen presence. It allows Rashmika to settle in and attract the audience distinctively.

The actor’s natural dialogue delivery and brilliant composure were the standouts for me.

Anil Kapoor, as Balbir, utilizes his authentically built aura to charm the cinema hall.

You can sense him putting all his physical strength into the character while still managing to look as unhindered as possible.

His evergreen vocal intonations add more to an already wonderful performance.

Animal Critic Reviews & Ratings

Through an exhausting runtime of 3 hours, 21 minutes, comprising extreme bloodshed, testosterone, and blatant misogyny, writer-director Sandeep Reddy Vanga glorifies the alpha male once again through his Godfather-esque tale.

The film ricochets off target after having raced full-tilt to the midpoint; if it had come to an end at the interval, it would have made its point.

If there is anything at all that can be deemed to be a takeaway from this off-putting and tiresome film, it is the background music.

  • News 18 | Review by Titas Chowdhury | Rating: 3.5/5

Animal might not meet the tall claims made by the makers but it’s an amusing roller coaster ride that will keep you hooked throughout.

The bloodshed isn’t for the weak-hearted to watch, so practice caution if you decide to watch it because there’s a lot of it and you might not be able to take that much.

  • Firstpost| Review By – Ganesh Aaglave | Rating-3.5/5

Animal is an adrenaline experience which will have polarising views but you can’t deny its entertaining quotient, breathtaking performances and storytelling.

  • Mid Day | Review by Mayank Shekhar | Rating: 2/5

Tight script more essential than tight slap, no?

  • Rediff | Review by Sukanya Verma | Rating: 4/5

Animal is relentless as a euphoric medley of feral rage and dance of the dysfunctional. The twists go on well until end credits as more blood is splattered our way.

  • India Today | Review By – Anvita Singh | Rating-2/5

Everything is almost in place, except for the main requirement of a film — its story.

  • The Hindu | Review by Shilajit Mitra | Rating: NA

The film is too bloated and too thin for its three-hour-plus runtime.

  • Scroll | Review by Nandini Ramnath | Rating: NA

Stuffed with carnage, peppered with overt emotional abuse, and seething with primal feelings, Animal doesn’t set itself up to be liked.

This is an endless saga of violence and misogyny and violence and some more violence and some more misogyny.

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga seems to have launched a 203-minute offensive against the critics of his 2019 hit, Kabir Singh.

ANIMAL is a powerful film that rests on Ranbir Kapoor’s outstanding performance, clap-worthy massy scenes, and an interval block that is simply out of this world.
